Tim Carr of St. Charles caught the show biz bug when he was 5 and his parents moved to New Orleans, where they performed a daily television show from the roof of a hotel in the French Quarter.
Carr is captain of the Krewe of Misfits -- a marching band of actors, jugglers, instrumentalists and clowns who perform atop a flat bed trailer float.
The Krewe has marched in 47 parades since its first appearance in the Soulard Mardi Gras Parade in 1984.
